No Menthol Sunday 2026

No Menthol Sunday

“Menthol is not JUST a flavor. Menthol-flavored tobacco products are smoother and better tasting, making it easier to start smoking and harder to quit. Menthol is not JUST a flavor, it’s a way for Big Tobacco to attract and addict new smokers and there’s nothing JUST about it.” – NotJustMenthol.org

No Menthol Sunday is an annual observance led by the Center for Black Health & Equity to raise awareness about the harmful impact of menthol tobacco and its disproportionate effect on Black communities.

It’s an opportunity to encourage education, support quitting, and advance efforts that promote health equity and reduce tobacco-related disparities. This year’s No Menthol Sunday is May 17.
