Philip Morris is a leading tobacco company world wide. They are also known for taking advantage of vulnerable communities by using strategic marketing tactics to gain new users, or maintain their current users.
Some examples of how Philip Morris did this with the LGBTQ community are the following… 1. donating millions of dollars to HIV/AIDS campaigns, 2. using same sex couples in their tobacco adds and 3. placing their adds in strategic locations like neighborhoods with a high LGBTQ population and at pride events.
